Creating Your First Project

BugSmash supports multiple project types so teams can review websites, designs, videos, emails, apps, and documents - all from one workspace.

To create a project:

Dashboard → Create New Project

Simply select the type of project you want to review and upload/share the content.

🌐 Website Projects

Steps →

  • Select Website → Enter the website URL → Create the project

  • Browse pages normally, test flows, and switch to Comment Mode whenever you want to leave feedback

</>HTML Project

Perfect for:

  • Static HTML websites

  • Frontend prototypes

  • Website templates

Steps →

  • Select HTML → Upload your .html or .zip file (up to 20 MB).

  • Create the project and review your HTML files with comments and visual annotations.

  • Share the project with your team or clients to collect feedback.

💬 Embeddable Feedback Widget

Perfect for:

  • Live websites

  • Staging environments

  • Development websites

Steps →

  • Create a Widget Project and copy the generated embed code.

  • Add the script to your website using the HTML snippet, npm package, or WordPress integration.

  • Visitors can click the floating feedback widget, leave comments, and every annotated screenshot is automatically synced to your BugSmash project.

🎥 Video Projects

Perfect for:

  • Product demos

  • Ads

  • Select Video → Upload the file or paste a YouTube link → Create the project

  • Add timestamp-based comments and collaborative feedback

📄 PDF Projects

Perfect For:

  • Brochures & Reports

  • Select PDF → Upload the file → Create the project

  • Review pages visually and add contextual comments directly on the document

🖼️ Image Projects

Perfect For :

  • UI designs & Mockups

Steps →

  • Select Image → Upload the images directly into the project

  • Create the project and start adding comments, annotations, and visual feedback

Note: You can also copy multiple images and upload them directly into the image project.

📊 PPT Projects

Perfect For :

  • Sales decks

  • Investor slides

Steps →

  • Select PPT → Upload the presentation → Create the project

  • Collaborate, review slides, and collect feedback visually

📧 Email Projects

Use Email Projects to review newsletters, campaigns, and email templates before sending them live.

Steps →

  • Select Email → Enter the project name → Copy the generated email address

  • Send your exact email content to that address and wait a few seconds for it to appear inside BugSmash

Note: Emails usually appear within 10–20 seconds after sending them to the generated email address.

Once received, your team can review and comment directly on the email layout.

📱 Mobile App Projects

Perfect for :

  • Mobile UI reviews

  • Android/iOS screens

Steps →

  • Download the BugSmash Mobile App on your device

  • Select Mobile App → Start review or annotate screenshot

  • Start collecting mobile-specific feedback collaboratively

🧊 3D Model Projects

Perfect for :

  • CAD models

  • 3D prototypes

  • Interactive 3D assets

Steps →

  • Select 3D Model → Upload your .glb file or supported 3D model package → Create the project

  • Rotate, zoom, and inspect the model from different angles

  • Add feedback to specific parts of the model and collaborate with your team or clients
