BugSmash supports almost all the files and media types that teams use every day, so you can collect feedback, comments, and approvals in one place instead of managing them across different tools.

Supported File Types

🌐Websites / Web Apps

Collect feedback directly on live websites and web apps. BugSmash supports dynamic websites, static websites, SPAs (Single Page Applications), live URLs and also the websites protected behind Basic Auth.

You can:

  • Add comments directly on the page

  • Annotate specific elements and add feedback

  • Captures metadata screenshots automatically and saves browser and page details.

BugSmash supports image files like PNG, JPG / JPEG, and SVG.

You can:

  • Supports Individual as well as multiple images in a single image project (Note: You can also select multiple images at once and add them together into the same project.)

  • Rename each image individually

  • Add pin-based feedback directly on the designs

Perfect for reviewing UI/UX designs, mockups, ad creatives, and social media posts.


📄PDFs

Upload multi-page PDFs and review them page-by-page with comments and annotations.

Useful for reports, brochures, and documents.


🎥Videos

Supports MP4 and MOV files with timestamp-based feedback. Also supports a YouTube link.

Reviewers can comment on exact moments for editing suggestions, animation tweaks, scene changes, and audio sync issues. (Tip: If your video file exceeds the upload size limit, you can upload it as an unlisted YouTube video and then paste the YouTube link inside the frame/project for review.)


📊PPTs / Presentations

Upload PowerPoint presentations and collect feedback slide-by-slide in one place.

Perfect for pitch decks, strategy presentations, and client reviews.


📧Emails

Upload email designs or exported email previews to collect feedback before campaigns go live.

Ways To Upload The File Types

BugSmash supports both individual uploads and bulk project uploads for faster collaboration workflows.

1. Upload Individual Files / Single Projects

You can upload files one at a time directly from the dashboard.

Steps :

  • Go to the Dashboard

  • Click on New Project

  • Select the project/file type you want to upload

  • Add the file you’d like to review and collect feedback on

2. Bulk Upload Multiple Files

You can also upload multiple files at once to quickly organise large review workflows.

Steps :

  • Open your File Manager

  • Select all the files you want to upload

  • Drag and drop them directly into the workspace dashboard or inside a folder for better organisation

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use clear file names so that you can easily filter projects and files when needed.

  • Upload updated files as new versions to keep the feedback history organised and compare changes.

Create an archive folder to store old files so the workspace stays clean and well-managed.
