Inviting Teammates & Roles

Why it’s useful
Collaboration in BugSmash is permission-driven through separate invite flows. Inviting people from the right place ensures teammates can manage the workspace freely, contributors can upload without overexposure, and clients can give feedback without touching internal settings.
How it works
1. Invite users from different locations depending on the access you want to give:
- Workspace → Members → Invite → adds a Member (Members can join workspace and have access to all your workspace projects.)
- Workspace → Collaborator → Invite → adds a Collaborator (Collaborators can create/upload project in your workspace but cannot view other projects.)
- Inside a Project → Share → adds a Guest Reviewer (project-only access to add comments and replies)
2. Enter the user’s email in the relevant invite screen.
3. Send invitation.
Example
> The design lead invites a Client as “Guest Reviewer” so they can comment and add replies but cannot change any project settings.
Tips
- Invite internal team as Members at the workspace level; invite clients directly from projects as Guests Reviewer.
- Use Collaborator for external contributors who need upload access without full workspace visibility like Freelancers who work on specific projects with you.
- Remove inactive users regularly for security.
